Trail Advantage operates its beginner courses at a number of locations in Sheffield and the Peak District. However we run our Fundamentals and improver courses on Houndkirk Moor and Lady Cannings trails, on the edges of Sheffield at Ringinglow.
Our courses are structured to be delivered in most MTB environments and we can deliver a session based around your local trails, this is ideal for clubs or groups. We can also offer guided rides on some of the Peak District’s classic routes in from Edale and Bamford. We have been riding the peak for over 25 years so know some of the not so well known spots that also offer some great riding.
Houndkirk Moor is located on the edge of the Peak District and is a great starting point to build skills to venture further out into England’s largest National Park. The surrounding area includes Blacka Moor and Totley plantations and Longshaw Estate, riding further takes you to Calver and Eyam. Some of these areas are visited in the guided ride we do in a full day coaching and skills course. For these sessions we meet at the Norfolk Arms Pub, Ringinglow Village, S11 7TS. Accommodation is also available here if you want to make a weekend of it and they do a cracking pie!! More Information on the Norfolk Arms Website
Rother Valley Country Park is located outside Rotherham and with easy access of the M1. The surrounding trails at this venue are ideal for skills development and contain a number of features to allow skills development throughout the session. We also offer skills sessions here and is home to a large and friendly British Cycling MTB club, Rother Valley Riders.
